It’s still something we don’t hear about anywhere because the business of synthetic vitamins is huge.
Vitamins and minerals are found in our food. Food is a perfect matrix in which vitamins and minerals are in perfect balance, with all their co-factors and in balanced quantities.
A vitamin or mineral does not work alone, isolated from its co-factors. In nature, they are never found isolated.
Our body knows how to use complete nutrients but does not know how to properly use isolated vitamins and minerals.
Vitamins are classified into two main groups: water-soluble vitamins B and C and fat-soluble vitamins A, E, D and K.
Water-soluble vitamins work with each other, and fat-soluble vitamins work together as well. There is a synergy between them.
If you take an isolated vitamin, for example vitamin D, then you will create an imbalance with the other fat-soluble vitamins. You will indeed increase your vitamin D, but since it works hand in hand with the other vitamins, you will create deficiencies in vitamins A, E and K.
You will absorb calcium much more effectively (effect of vitamin D), but your body will not have vitamin K2 in sufficient quantities to properly use this calcium and put it where it is needed, in the bones and teeth. You will therefore end up with calcium deposits in your tissues, you will have stiff muscles and tendons, joint pain, plaque in your arteries and demineralization of the teeth.
You will call it getting old, your doctor will call it arthritis, tendinitis, atherosclerosis, cavities.
Did you know that rat poison is made of synthetic vitamin D? Because synthetic, isolated vitamin D makes tissues absorb huge amounts of calcium, rats die of hypercalcemia.
So, just take vitamin K2 with vitamin D and that solves the problem, right?
No, it’s not that simple. You still need vitamin A and E. But ultimately the fat-soluble vitamins also interact with the water-soluble vitamins, which also interact with minerals …. so, it’s an endless chain and it’s impossible to find the right balance with isolated vitamins and minerals.
Not only does the body not recognize certain synthetic vitamins and minerals and therefore cannot use them, but those which it can use will ultimately be toxic since they will cause serious imbalances in the long term. And remember that the cause of disease is imbalance in the body.
Foods contain the right proportions of vitamins and minerals, which allow your body to absorb them properly.
Eat nutrient dense foods, eat organic, or even better, eat wild plants and wild animals and do not buy synthetic vitamins and minerals.
